"Giants" by You Can Be A Wesley from loroto on Vimeo.
You can be a video? You bet you can!
From the extended family circle of the Boston Phoenix comes the latest video from YOU CAN BE A WESLEY. "Giants" premiered this week on NME.com and for good reason: it was produced by Wesley bassist and Phoenix contributor P. NICK CURRAN, directed by Phoenix freelance videographer and Curran's Loroto partner-in-crime ADDISON POST, and features a cameo by our very own #music and #occupy writer LIZ PELLY, who taps into her Long Island roots by playing a "mall goth" (somewhere, the Gods of Massapequa's Sunrise Mall are smiling bright).
"Giants" is the first single off the band's recent Nightosphere EP, and the video takes the prom premise to greater, more fucked-up heights. It feels like home: smoking weed, drinking beers, and rocking out while in drag.
The final shots were filmed at the Space gallery loft deep in the glitzy pits of Allston Rock City, and for an added bonus, do a shot of whiskey everytime you spot someone you've made out at the Sil.
