[tonight in allston] Glass T33th, Death Shepherd, Brutalist School @ O'Brien's
Anyone who has read the Phoenix on the regs knows we're pretty sweet on Xavier Gath's dark dance project GLASS T33TH (the calendar has zoomed past October, so there's a moratorium on using the label "witch haus"). And anyone who has listened to Boston Accents on WFNX in recent weeks has heard the nearly seven minutes of electronic experimental-beat mindfuck of Boston trio DEATH SHEPHERD. Tonight the two come together in Allston on one killer bill with New York ambient shifter and former Dalek turntablist Hsi-Chang Lin's BRUTALIST SCHOOL, cramming a whole lot of beautiful noise within the imtimate confines of O'Brien's Pub.
An opening set from AMOBRIAX and DJ spins from Nicky Romance, Won't, and Los Angeles' Flintheart fill in the evening's blanks. Doors are at 8pm, it's 18-plus, and there's a $7 cover. Should be a good one.
Check out the video of Brutualist School performing "Exit Music" at Brooklyn's Bruar Falls back in May, and consume your forever free-falling head-space with some underground Boston beats below. Boston Accents closed out Sunday's show with Death Shepherd's "12 Phaezes," and Glass T33th, well, this is just some next level shit.
