As Radio begins its live transmission out of Union Square this Friday, October 7, the ORGAN BEATS’ plea to “Stay the Night” is a fitting battlecry for a hearty inaugural weekend slate of rock. The new Somerville restaurant and live music joint (run by Aimee McGrath and Josh Banville of the Rosebud and booked by Ashley Willard of Boston Band Crush), gets the party started with the Beats on opening night, joined by the Rationales and ’11 Rock ’n’ Roll Rumble winners John Powhida International Airport. Saturday night features Dirty Truckers, AM Stereo, Watts, and BrownBoot, then Sunday caps off with Township’s Marc Pinansky, Sodafrog, and Dan Blakeslee under a smiling Somerville moon after a free dinner time performance by Erin Harpe.
