Here's tonight's Boston Accents playlist. Not shown: my rant about the stupid two-week club rule, me stumbling like fuck over the name of the new Wheat song, and me dancing around the WFNX studio like an idiot to Conservative Man. Hang out with me next week, Sunday night from 8 to 10pm streaming live on wfnx.net or at 101.7 FM on the radio radio radio dial.

GLASS T33TH, “X” – With October comes a flash of witch haus; off the CDR EP from a spooky solo project getting recognition for having symbols and shapes in their name. Oh, and because it rules.

CASEY DESMOND, “Talking To God” – Brand spankin' new single from Boston’s electro-pop entry on NBC’s The Voice

ANDRE OBIN, “Cinnamon (Casey Desmond Remix)” – A two-fer dance-off from Desmond there as she sasses up Andre Obin’s normally chilly soviet bloc techno. This should be released soon.

MEDALLION, “Moon Rave” – Solo experimental electronic project from dude behind As Built PR, off Taylor Dunes EP, released on limited edition cassette via Czech label AMDiscs, which put out Young Adults Black Hole 10-inch.

WHEAT, “The Used To Be In Love Blues” – Hear me stumble over the name of this one? Taunton's Wheat are releasing three new singles, each with two new tracks, this is the b-side from the first release, “House of Kiss.” I like it better.

LEISURE “Follow Me” – Finally saw Leisure, who are building a good following in Europe, last Tuesday at Great Scott opening for We Are Augustines. Hell of a show.

ORCA ORCA, “Change Of Pace” – Jim Hewitt used to make music as Young Minds, now he rolls as Orca Orca. Get the “Get Up (Get Out)” digital 7-inch, it’s really fantastic. Playing Sunday, October 23 at O'Brien's Pub in Allston with Trans Cardia and the Lights Resolve.

CAMDEN, “Mustangs” -- Rad track from a rad band I wrote about a few weeks ago in the Phoenix.

RIO BRAVO, “Slow Pill” -- Bouncy post-punk jam from the land of Dover, New Hampshire; off their recent self-titled record

DOM, “Living In America” – Last year’s "Song of the Year" at the 2010 Boston Music Awards, this year’s event will go down November 20 at the Liberty Hotel. What’s this year’s top tune? Old Jack Chorus Line? Buffalo Tom “Guilty Girls?” Andre Obin “Soft Rain?

ROGUEWAVES “Ruins” -- Electro jam from 2008, featuring Keely Bumford of BlackKettle (Boston/LA) on guest vocals.

THE KILL SCREENS, “Flying Free” -- Nice synthpop vibe and a cool band name

DIRTY VIRGINS, “I Like You” -- Allston heroes, get their Whiskey Dick EP off Bandcamp, and catch them when they play at Church on November 27 with the Fagettes and these guys…

THE NEW HIGHWAY HYMNAL, “Blackened Hands” – New single from young Haverhill rock crew.

<<<<< HOUR 2 >>>>>

THE RATIONALES, “Slower-Faster” – Playing the opening night of Radio this Friday, October 7 with John Powhida International Airport, Sidewalk Driver, and…

THE ORGAN BEATS, “Stay The Night” – This Thursday’s Mp3 of the Week in the Phoenix also help christen the new Union Square live music venue, booked by Ashley Willard of Boston Band Crush.

THE POMPS, “Icepack!” – New track from ska supergroup featuring dudes from the Sterns, New Collisions, and Have Nots. Pick it up.

DIAMOND MINES “It Just Adds Up” – Hit up Ben Weiser earlier this week about an Abbey Lounge show he played several years ago with the Silk Road, whose former drummer was just arrested in a terrorism plot to bomb buildings in DC. After a few friendly emails, he hit me up with tunes. That’s how you get shit done in Boston.

GIRLFRIENDS, “Gov’t Seizure” – Playing Matt Denice Benefit show Tuesday at O’Brien’s Pub in Allston with Luau, Dream Warrior, and…

BOZMO, “Milksnakes” -- So yeah, go to that show.

MEAN CREEK, “Sunlight” ‎-- Top track going into regular WFNX rotation starting tomorrow, all leading up to them taking part in the Miracle on Lansdowne Street in December, where Mean Creek joins an awesome bill at the House of Blues.Stay tuned for the rest of the Miracle lineup (I'm not sure I was allowed to mention the Mean Creek show).

YOUNG ADULTS, “Wasting Time” – Off last year's Black Hole 10-inch, last 90 seconds of that one get me worked up.

YOU WON’T, “Who Knew” – Band called You Won’t. Song called “Who Knew?” You didn’t? You will.

GREY VALLEY GHOST, “The Way We Kill” – Playing Wednesday Oct 5 at the Middle East.

THE HUSH NOW, “Please Mephistopheles Leave Me Alone” – Halloween song from last year about the Devil’s recruiter who won’t leave Noel Kelly alone. New holiday jams on the way from the Hush Now…

CONSERVATIVE MAN, “The Heist” – Lost jam from a few years back, Ian McCarthy has stopped his bi-city existence and now lives in Boston full-time, plays in Dirty Bombs, who release their new record November 11 at Great Scott.

HERRA TERRA, “You Were The Accelerator” – Worcester electronic rock overlords, off last year’s Quiet Giest record off the Mylene Sheath.

THE BLACKBOARD NAILS, “She Wants” -- Sexy rock jam from ex-BabyStrange.

THE BON SAVANTS, “TIDAL WAVES” -- Perfect way to lead into London Calling then by the Bon Savs pulling a Jarvis Cocker... We miss you, Bon Savants.
