Here's tonight's BOSTON ACCENTS playlist, complete with show notes, band links, and my usual ragtime blah-blah-blahs. Listen in every Sunday night from 8 to 10pm at 101.7 FM or online at This week we debuted a fuckton of dope new jams, and showed some love to Bostonians who bounced to Brooklyn as a nod to today's 10th anniversary of Sept. 11. 

CAMDEN, “Mustangs” - Playing TT The Bear's on Saturday, Sept. 17 with two bands from our 50 Bands 50 States summer feature, Eternal Summers (VA) and Reading Rainbow (PA).

VIVA VIVA, “Hailing A Cab In Hell” - New track off upcoming EP, What's The Kim Deal, first surfaced on the first Boston Band Crush comp.

MOONS, “Jupiter Drive” - Playing O'Brien's Pub on Saturday, Sept. 17 with Full Body Anchor, Cooling Towers and Age Rings. Originally off this summer's Stasis 10-inch, download the song Thursday via On The Download when it becomes our Mp3 of the Week.

THE CINNAMON FUZZ, “In Your Hands” - New track, to be among two new songs on the Cruise Of The Century" EP re-boot this fall. Ace tune. So ace we spun it on the Breakfast Show last week, too. Here's our recap of the occassion

DOOMSTAR, “Rainbow Bloodsucker” - Off the 2010 album of the same name, we miss you already, boys.

DIRTY BOMBS, “In Every City” - New track off October's Alpha Transmission EP, read about it in Thursday's Phoenix Fall Preview.

ANDRE OBIN, “Cinnamon (Casey Desmond Remix)” - Great collabo between two of Boston's brilliant dance music minds. Obin opens the Peter Hook show at the Paradise on Sept. 20.

PARLOUR BELLS, “Speak Up” - We won't stop playing it until they play the Faces Demolition Party. Maybe... 

ALOUD, “Beaches” – Older track, from 2006's Leave Your Light On, playing Tuesday at Great Scott for Annie*Rock’s birthday bash, with Guillermo Sexo and Sarah RabDAU.

TOWNSHIP, “All Your Stuff” - Radio debut for brand new jam off new record One More Summer, release party Oct. 1 at Brighton Music Hall, with Sidewalk Driver.

RYAN LEE CROSBY, “The War” - Our Mp3 of the Week, new track from the former Cancer To The Stars screamer, now playing with full band again after several solo releases.

SOCCER MOM, “(A) Natural History” - Peep Thursday's Fall Preview for our Soccer Mom photoshoot, where we stuffed them in the pink ladies room of TC's Pub. Highly-touted EP release Sept. 23 at TT The Bears with Emergency Music.

BLACKBOARD NAILS, “She Wants” - Garage rock trio featuring Eric Dineen, formerly of Babystrange.

THE DECEMBER SOUND, “Kill Me (Before I Kill You)” - Sonic assault from a few years back; frontman Zack Sarzana lived in NYC for a few years, now back in town.

BON SAVANTS, “Between The Moon & The Ocean” - Off 2006's Post Rock Defends The Nation, drummer Andy (Mystery Roar) and bassist Dave now reside in Brooklyn. Thom is still a rocket scientist out in California. Come home, dudes.

YES GIANTESS, “You Were Young” - Electro-pop hopefulls from around 2008 or so, NYCers Jan Rosenfeld now makes music as Lightwaves, Chase Nicholl as Secret Music.

PASSION PIT, “Dreams” - Cranberries cover, a few of the guys are in Brooklyn as we await the 2012 follow-up to Manners, currently being written/recorded by Michael Angelakos in Los Angeles.

TWIN SHADOW, “Castles In The Snow (Com Truise Remix)” - George Lewis Jr once lived in Boston, playing in Mad Man Films.

HOORAY FOR EARTH, “Surrounded By Your Friends” - Half live in Brooklyn, half in Cambridge, or at least that was the case recently. Older track with a video worth watching, Noel Heroux just got married to one of the ladies in Zambri! Hooray! For Weddings!

CYANIDE VALENTINE, “You Are The Focus” - Jake Zavracky left millions on the table not selling out this tune to Ford back in 2005. Off the Let It Rot album. Dude's in Brooklyn now, got a new EP, The Revenant, now online.

THE NEW HIGHWAY HYMNAL, “Hey Kid (Gotta Run)” - We had this Haverhill gang in the FNX studio a few weeks ago. Download it

NEW COLLISIONS, “Fire In The Neighborhood” - Did ya hear they played with the B-52's? Catch 'em next Sept. 25 at the Middle East with Lovewhip, Micah and others.

GREY VALLEY GHOST, “The Way We Kill” - Lead track off killer debut record, released last week at TT The Bear's, we made it our Mp3 of the Week, too. 

COOLING TOWERS, “Charlotte” - New band from Commodore Vic, Ronan Fahey and others. On the Sept. 17 Moons O'Brien's bill I mentioned earlier.

BUFFALO TOM, “Age of Consent (Acoustic)” - Classic Boston band covering a classic New Order track.
