Boston Accents re-launches this Sunday -- the best in New England rock + pop on WFNX
LISTEN LIVE: WFNX Radio on teh internetts
Oh hey it's here! After multiple bulletins, carefully-placed teasers, a few print ads, a couple of online announcements, many tweets, and a few weeks of co-hosting duties with the great Adam 12, BOSTON ACCENTS re-launches this Sunday night at 8 pm on WFNX 101.7 FM with little ol' me in the captain's chair. If you're outside the city signal, listen in online at wfnx.net.
It's kinda weird writing your own notice, but as Tony Wilson once said, "So it goes." Tune in this holiday weekend for a specialized selection of the best New England rock and pop of the past 25 years, with a focus on the new and what's going on around town during the (short) week ahead. Consider it an ultra-localized edition of my weekly Breakfast Show morning appearance on 'FNX, only now you get to hear me talk ragtime for two hours and select not two, but two dozen sweet local jams.
This Sunday we'll fire off the current Boston Phoenix Mp3 of the Week, Grey Valley Ghost's "They Way We Kill," as well as new tracks from Soccer Mom, You Can Be A Wesley, Vanzetti, Fiends In Human Shape, Guillermo Sexo, The Wandas, SPF 5000, Age Rings, the Fagettes, and Team Spirit, a recent side-project from Ayad Al-Adhamy of Passion Pit. We'll dip into some local leftovers as well. Does 2005 count? Good.
In the meantime, kindly saddle up to us on Facebook, and follow our glittery rock trail on Twitter (@BostonAccentsMA).
Right on, Boston. Let's do this.
