[download] 28 Degrees Taurus release Satanic EP, prep for Deep Heaven Now IV this weekend

There's a devil inside Jinsen Liu, and for once we're not talking about Jagermeister. The 28 DEGREES TAURUS guitarist/vocalist, kickstarter of the DEEP HEAVEN NOW parties, and man banned from most clubs around Boston today posted his band's Satantic EP, Ecstatic Black Static, available for free download via Bandcamp. On first listen it's definitely more sinister and aggressive than the usually ambient, Japanese-pop shoegaze stylings of the 28 Degrees Taurus collective, though their traditional sound finally breaks through the surface on second track "Everything Can Go To Hell," a furious effort that's one of the best 28DT tracks we've ever heard.

This mix of anger and psych rock is pretty cool. We're also feeling the opener, "Dancing With Dionysus" pretty hard. Says the Dark Lord Jinsen, Evil Prince of Jager:

Don't forget, Deep Heaven Now returns this Friday and Saturday at Precinct and PA's Lounge in Somerville, where Liu brings the demonic side of 28DT alongside a killer fucking lineup: The Vandelles, the December Sound, the New Highway Hymnal, Gospel Gossip, Endless Wave, Static of the Gods, Major Stars, and a billion trillion others, some of which may or may not also practice the dark arts.
