So our pals in vitaminwater, who last month helped us present "OTD's most downloaded artist" BAD RABBITS with a giant flying-V guitar at the Best Music Poll party, is back in action right downstairs from Phoenix HQ. For the entire month they've taken over the Fourth Wall Gallery at 132 Brookline Ave., creating an interactive arts and music space out of a non-traditional venue, and tonight kick off the Music Mondays series that highlights some of the radder sounds from around the city and surrounding regions.
Tonight's lineup features Worcester electronic rock dudes and former PHX Mp3 of the Week'ers HERRA TERRA, the explosive lunatic sounds of Boston's SUPERVOLCANO, a Rockathlon competition that pits roadies against each other in stage/show competitions, the between-band and close-out DJ stylings of yours truly. Tonight I take off my weekday editor's cap and pretend it's Friday night, spinning my usual modern indie dance set heard each week at the Pill at Great Scott. It might be my first time DJing sober in years.
The party is FREE and open to the public, there is no RSVP required (first-come, etc.), and doors are at 7pm.
Here's a peek inside the space.
