Beastie Boys revisit "Fight For Your Right," get remixed by Passion Pit

I'm definitely the last person on the planet to be commenting on the BEASTIE BOYS, but these two items both achieved a first in my personal playbook -- neither made me want to rip my ears off, dip then in a shot glass filled with Cholula, and shove them down my throat, and I actually watched/listened to each clip all the way through.

I generally only get about 15 seconds into a Beasties track before wanting to harm innocent creatures, like that playful dolphin that once befriended a kitty cat on the internet -- so we'll credit PASSION PIT for the blippy, breezy aural helping and John C. Reilly for the visual sanitizer. The original "Make Some Noise" track, which I'm sure is terrible, is from the Beastie Boys' new album, the wonderfully-titled Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 2.

It's out next month and I'm already over it.
