Apparently, this was Shirley Manson's character in that Terminator show from a few years ago.
It's not the Belly reunion that the Village Voice is calling for, but Shirley Manson of Garbage has announced that her band is currently recording an LP. A tour will follow.
In discussing this reunion, Stereogum says "It seems like Garbage never comes up on either critical or nostalgia lists of ’90s alt rock bands." We can tell you one list of alt-rock bands where Garbage scores some high marks: our sister radio station WFNX's. They scored a highly-respactable 64th out of 101, beating out current darlings like the Shins, Spoon, the Arcade Fire, Vampire Weekend, and Phoenix, not to mention canonized favorites like the Stooges and Dinosaur Jr. and arena stalwarts like Coldplay and Kings of Leon. And Prince. Say what you will about our poll, but that's something.
And, for that matter, the first album had some pretty solid pop songs, so maybe this tour is worth getting somewhat mildly excited about. Maybe. Let's go to the video:
"Only Happy When It Rains"
"My Lover's Box"
"Supervixen" and "Stupid Girl" live
