Twitter Roundup of the 2010 Grammys: Jessica Simpson weeps over Pink, Pete Yorn moans for MGMT, and more

Most of you were probably too busy personally livetweeting last night's Grammy Awards to actually watch the performances or pay attention to what pop stars said about the show via Twitter, so we've compiled a highlight reel for both:

Anything you can do, Beyonce can do better -- she covered Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know" last night.

  1. Hayley Williams
yelyahwilliams Are guys watching this out there?! Beyonce covering Alanis Morissette almost made me pee my loverly Nicole Miller dress... geeez.
  2. Ricky Martin
ricky_martin #Beyonce es una diosa! She is a goddess
  3. Andy Zax
andyzax Even Beyonce in prime form can't make "You Oughtta Know" tolerable.

Pink's semi-nude acrobatics made other female pop stars' eyes wetter than the audience members she sprayed with water.

  1. Jessica Simpson
JessicaSimpson Pink just made me cry my eyes out. Wow. Heart and soul to the core.
  2. Katy Perry
katyperry @Pink you were the most inspiring woman tonight! The one with the MOST heart!
  3. Jewel
jeweljk @Pink wow wow wow- great soul- love to see such emotion- congrats...

Taylor Swift's painfully off-key duet with Stevie Nicks proved she's better at winning Grammys than performing at them.

  1. Chris DEEP Henderson
DEEPChris Um Somebody's harmony is OFF & it ain't Stevie Nicks #Grammys
  2. Tommie Sunshine
tommiesunshine Stevie Nicks is a genius. Taylor Swift should be embarrassed for missing all those notes in "Rhiannon".
  3. Jason Isbell
JasonIsbell Why is Jerry Springer hugging Taylor Swift?

And who could help but rejoice for the "glory that is opera"? Well, how about when it's actually a Slash-assisted performance of "Blame It" by Jamie Foxx and T-Pain?

  1. The GRAMMYs
TheGRAMMYs FYI, this is no longer opera. This is Jamie Foxx and T-Pain with Slash and Doug E Fresh.
  2. Tommie Sunshine
tommiesunshine The music industry is in shambles. "Blame It On The Alcohol".
  3. OfficialThrice
OfficialThrice There is a lot of suck at the Grammy's. That Jamie Foxx thing was the most tasteless things I've seen in a while. DK

The Black Eyed Peas' unearthly performance made their peers think really, really hard about life.

MissKeriBaby Thas rite Black Eyed Peas 2nite's STILL gonna b a good nite regardless! The outcome was already decided by He who really decides our paths.
  2. Dave Aude
daveaude Fergie ass looks pretty good how could u cheat on that??

Rappers were (justifiably) pissed that the hip-hop portion of the awards show wasn't televised.

  1. QTip
QtipTheAbstract Y were none of the hiphop categories on t.v. For grammys?
  2. Fabolous
myfabolouslife Why don't the Hip hop/rap catorgies get televised?? We (hiphop) are a big part of music 2day, even in mainstream America.. #ihaveadream
  3. Flosstradamus
Flosstradamus RT @dances: whoa drake proving himself not mad at this. we need more hiphop less country

When the award for Best New Artist went not to MGMT but a country group instead, the collective Twitterverse spewed forth great frothy gobbets of outrage -- everyone except Keri Hilson, that is.

MissKeriBaby Well...Zac Brown Band REALLY IS talented!! They killed their performance.
  2. shinytoyguns
shinytoyguns Grammys! Look for our major tom commercial here and there. So bummed mgmt didn't win. And gaga is epic as usual.
  3. Pete Yorn
    peteyorn Mgmt got robbed.

Oh yeah, and then there's that time Beyonce was the only person in the room wearing 3-D glasses.
