Only one thing to do: Big Bear | Child Bite | Horsehands | Ice Dragon

I could probably come up with a bunch of reasons why tonight's show at T.T.'s -- featuring the cochlea-clawing Big Bear, Michigan PHX-title-holders Child Bite, partytime splatter-psych upstarts Horsehands and Local Band We'd Most Like To Donate Robes To, Ice Dragon -- is the show for you, but they'd all be pure speculation, and it's much easier just to ask Big Bear's Joel Roston, who has offered reasons three:
-
All of the music sounds like it's going to be amazing.
-
Big Bear is playing a new song and a newer, reworked version of a song that was formerly new and then scrapped and now is new again.
-
Child Bite and Big Bear are super-spirit friends from way back, Ice Dragon shares a drummer with Thunderhole (Joanne from Big Bear's other band), and Horsehands [whose recordings you can get for free here] are a band many of us are meeting for the first time. There'll be so many different kinds of loving friendship/relationship arrangements happening in that club tonight that those attending might just witness the first ever white-light-astral-plane-super-pal-hangout power show in the history of the Boston music scene.
If you remain uncompelled, I'd recommend staring deeply into the Ice Dragon video for "Hexagon Riders" below; and if that doesn't work, I'm not sure what I can say except that Aerosmith would have wanted you to go.
