It's a wrap: BEST MUSIC POLL 2009 is in the can, and we may start believing in a higher power. Perfect weather? Crowd estimates ranging from 20,000 to 40,000? New material debuted by the Bravery and Airborne Toxic Event (who teamed up with WFNX's Paul Driscoll for a Journey cover -- wtf?!), a gorgeous one-off acoustic set by Metric, the local debut of Passion Pit's new configuration, and a casualty-free moshpit in front of a savage Gaslight Anthem performance? If you came or watched: thank you, thank you, thank you.
Afterwards, we tagged along with the Bravery and Airborne Toxic Event guys as they managed to get themselves kicked out of two bars inside of 15 minutes -- one of which they hadn't even stepped foot in. Good times.
More war stories from BMP09 coming all week long, including tons of video (sorry about the sound on the live-stream, but trust us, the grood stuff is coming soon), a shit-ton of amazing photos -- some of them yours -- and all the interviews that we failed to bring you in the telecast due to "technical difficulties" -- the nice way of saying we don't know what the hell we're doing. Keep an eye peeled to the Best Music Poll Concert Museum for all the latest.
Because you all are quick on the draw -- quicker than us -- we're posting a bunch of your photos and videos here while we set about editing ours. Crowd-source like whoa. There are already a couple of hundred photos in the BMP FLICKR POOL and videos being added to the BMP YOUTUBE POOL. If you've got some more, click on the links -- we'll be showing the best here and on the Best Music Poll Page.
