– Performances by Velvet Stylus, Shaymin, Lisa Bello, Mr. Harvey, Lyrical, and a dozen DJs (Act One, Ant G, Cruz, Daz-One, Doc Love, Ill Neil, Killer DJ, Koo Koo, Lefty, Nestle Quik, Shame and Vance).

– Very special sets by Grandmixer DXT and Grand Master D. If you don’t know, then it’s time to do some homework.

– You bought a Run-DMC t-shirt at Old Navy, and this is a great way to atone for that sin.

– Your closet is filled from top to bottom with Adidas kicks and gear (since you’re from Boston), and you get $5 off the $20 cover charge for rocking stripes.

Floorlords. Nuff said.

– This is also the anniversary of the Peace in the Streets CD, which raises money for youth violence prevention in Boston. That means it would be the perfect time to come down, buy a “Start Peace” t-shirt and double-disc (which is packed with dope local bangers, by the way), and support the cause. I promise it will absolve your liberal guilt for at least a week.

– You got your first boner/hard nipples while roller-skating to “Mary Mary” with your grade school crush.

– Moe Pope of Project Move will be putting it down, and dude is the brightest slept-on hip-hop talent in this whole damn city.

– Just because New York police are too lazy to solve Jay’s murder doesn’t mean you should be too lazy to celebrate his life and accomplishments.

– Run DMC. The best who ever done it.
