VIDEO: The Roots use their day job to their advantage (plus Wilco and St. Vincent)

Presumably one of the perks of being on network television every night is the chance to gain exposure with a larger audience. And so the Roots, who've been serving as house band on the (improving) Late Night with Jimmy Fallon since its inception, used last night's show as an opportunity to premiere the title cut from their forthcoming album How I Got Over (as promised). And it's pretty good! Not that the Roots have ever had trouble translating live. 

Also in the world of late-night television last night, Wilco showed up on Conan and St. Vincent brought her anamatronic-like stage moves to Letterman. Both videos after the jump.
