Hey, stop reading this and eat something. You’re going to need a layer of something to absorb your intake at Charlie’s Kitchen tonight. And I’m not even talking about cliché “rock beers,” I’m talking about very sad beers. Why? It is NIGHT TREES' last show, evah. That sucks. They don't even have a MySpace page anymore. Clearing house. You can still get all their songs here, but it’s just not the same!!! [slams bedroom door]
And now I’m totally neutering that dramatic exit by coming back to tell you that not only are DOOMSTAR playing this, but also the increasingly frighteningly good NEW BLACK MAGIC RAINBOW QUARTET (which may or may not be short for THE NEW BLACK MAGIC RAINBOW UNICORN LASER SPACESHIP QUARTET OF ENDURING JOY AND HAPPINESS, and which reminds me of our favorite local rocker comprised long-distance running troupe, SOARING FALCONS OF POWER AND THUNDER AND THE MIND-BODY-SPIRIT CONNECTION, but that’s neither here nor there. It’s here.) In any case, this is worth cancelling your other plans for. Do it. Cancel them.
NIGHT TREES + DOOMSTAR + BLACK MAGIC RAINBOW QUARTET | Charlie’s Kitchen, 10 Eliot St,. Cambrdidge | 9 pm
