Playlist: Destruct-a-thon's Duncan Wilder Johnson: "Top 5 tracks to get me in the mood for the sonic genocide that will be my band's Rumble set"

1. Motherboar, "Grillin' and Killin' "
Yeah, I fucking came to party!
2. Slayer, "Angel of Death"
Specifically the line, "The way that I want you to DIE!"
3. Sam Black Church, "New God Science"
I
dare you to show me a better-crafted metal/hardcore tune. It's all
there: the sick intro, the super-stompy verse riff, the
sing-along-and-simultaneously-point-your-finger chorus, the ripping
good metal breakdown in the bridge... AHHHH... so good!
4. Overcast, "Reborn To Kill Again"
I
love how these guys try to rip off Quicksand, and it still sounds like
dudes who grew up skateboarding and ripping bong hits in the woods of
central Mass and nothing like Quicksand.
5. Shadows Fall, "Power of I and I"
Yeah, I know I just put not one, but two Brian Fair
bands on this thing, but the main riff is so killer and you can't help
but sing along: "WORLD WITHIN MYSELF, ALL IS ONE, THE POWER OF I AND
I!!!!!!!!!!"
