Killers take cue from JT, release "snippet"

You see these things floating around the web all the time -- some studio engineer "sneaks" out 15 seconds of some megastar's new hit, which then miraculously finds its way onto every fan board and blog on the internerd. At least pop's hype machine offers the illusion of subtlety, even if somewhere it's inked in as part of the marketing plan. The thing we loved about the Killers leaking a 40-second snippet of their new single was that the Stereogum link went right to Island/Def Jam's servers.
