Reminder: RI Obama office opens tonight

Providence, RI – The Obama Campaign today announced an open house and rally for volunteers and supporters on Friday, September 19, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at the Rhode Island for Obama headquarters in the Heritage Building, 321 South Main Street, Suite 101.  A “Change We Can Believe In” rally will fire up Obama supporters behind the Heritage Building on South Water Street at 6:20 p.m.  Scheduled speakers include Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts and RI Democratic Party Chairman William Lynch. Members of Rhode Island’s Congressional Delegation and other Democratic statewide officers have been invited and are expected to attend.

Rhode Islanders who are ready for change will have an opportunity to learn how they can support the Obama for America campaign. 

RI for Obama Events Continue Over the Weekend

Lt. Governor Roberts is kicking off the National Women’s Weekend of Action with events on Saturday and Sunday.  On Saturday, volunteers will take to the phones at Obama headquarters calling undecided voters for a special “Women to Women” phone bank.  Roberts will also lead a Walk for Change in New Hampshire on Sunday.  Ocean State Obama supporters will canvassing the battleground state and reach out to voters by knocking on doors and building support for Senator Obama.
