McCain has a bountiful June

McCain topper Davis says the campaign raised more than $22 million in June.

And his campaign has nearly $27 million cash on hand, making it his best fundraising month yet.

Campaign manager Rick Davis discusses the financial outlook of the campaign on media conference call, says Republicans’ cash on hand is more than twice what Obama and the DNC have.

“This shows extremely strong fundraising that has considerably increased every month.”

Also says the GOP campaign is spending $10 million less per month to operate than Obama’s, and McCain’s camp has outspent Obama’s on advertising by almost 3:1 over the last two months.
