Tis the fundraising season

Matt has a rundown of upcoming times, including a few tonight:

Wednesday, June 4th - Fundraising reception for my state Senator Harold Metts from 530pm to 800pm at the Hi-Hat in Providence's Davol Square.  The suggested contribution is $50 or $75 for a couple. 

Wednesday, June 4th - Fundraising reception for Providence Ward 1 Councilman Seth Yurdin at Rue De L’Espoir (99 Hope St.) from 600pm to 800pm.  As David notes, Seth has been a stalwart progressive on the Council in his first 18 months on the job: "pushing for renewables and a public waterfront, organizing councilmembers from around the state to fight for fair education funding, and helping out a slew of neighborhood organizations." 

Wednesday, June 4th - Fundraising reception for state Senator Juan Pichardo from 6:30PM– 9:00PM at Ada’s Creations at 1137 Broad St. in Providence.  The suggested contribution is $50.  You can contribute online here or mail them to the Committee to Elect Juan M. Friday, June 6th - Fundraising reception for Providence Mayor David Cicilline from 530pm to 730pm at the Westin's Grand Ballroom.  The suggested contribution is $150.  You can RSVP to rsvp at cicilline.com or contribute here or mail contributions to: The Cicilline Committee PO Box 9107 Providence, RI 02940

Sunday, June 8th - 2008 RI Democratic State Committee (list of members "coming soon") Meeting starting at 600pm at the West Valley Inn in West Warwick.  At this meeting, the add-on delegates to the Democratic Convention will be approved.  Additionally, the State Committee Officers will be approved, platform and by-law revisions will be approved and Sen. Jack Reed and Congressmen Patrick Kennedy and Jim Langevin will be endorsed in their re-election campaigns.   

Wednesday, June 11th - Fundraising reception for State Rep. Ed Pacheco from 630pm to 830pm at Local 121 in downtown Providence.  The suggested contribution is $75 or $25 for students. Thursday, June 26th - Fundraising family day for Attorney General Patrick Lynch starting at 500pm at McCoy stadium.  More information here
