SHE LOVES BASSWhat a classy article (see "Wobble to the Top," Arts & Entertainment, December 20, 2011) — you should be really proud. I would like to know what shows you go to where people are standing in fields pissing themselves? Of the many shows I have been to, I have yet to do this or see anyone else that it has happened to.
I love bass — from Bassnectar to Primus to John Paul Jones, Keller Williams and Phil Lesh to Public Enemy. I simply love bass — there is nothing wrong with that. You can open your mind to new horizons or sit in fear of change.

WHY DON'T WE LOVE SOCCER?
I enjoyed your article about the future of Boston's sports in the look-ahead issue of the Boston Phoenix (see "The Year Ahead in Sports," December 30, 2011), but why is it that the entire Boston media is ignoring the New England Revolution? Why? You don't see any hats, T-shirts, or anything anywhere in Boston.
Soccer now has the highest youth participation numbers in the United States. A note should be sent to the Revolution's marketing department, too, to see what the heck they're up to — obviously not much!

As the Pats, Sox, and Celtics all won recent championships, the Bruins were the unlucky, left-out stepchildren during a decade of professional sports dominance the likes of which New England (nor anywhere else, for that matter) had never seen. Of course, to the delight of their fans, the Bruins won the Stanley Cup last month and finally joined the party.

- Are Logan Airport pollution and Massport indifference killing Boston's proud clam-digging tradition?
Denehy and other Boston clam farmers have come to face two seemingly impervious hurdles: a safety expansion at Logan Airport that will deplete two of their richest beaches, and a jet-fuel spill from last October that some allege wiped out half of Boston's soft-shell population.
