I've never seen an episode of the Adult Swim series, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, which may have hindered my enjoyment of cult comedy duo Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim's feature debut. But then, about 20 minutes in, after a film-within-a-film destroys the boys' fledgling movie career and finds them fleeing their violent financiers, John C. Reilly shows up as choleric man-child Taquito, and the funny begins to kick in. True, to get there you have to get past crummy cameos by Jeff Goldblum (as "Chef Goldblum," ho-ho!) and Will Ferrell doing one of his tired angry-man routines. Taquito lives in a dilapidated mall that Tim and Eric plan to rehabilitate to pay back their billion-dollar debt. It's standard sitcom stuff, and if homeopathic remedies by way of coprophilia aren't your idea of comedy, you'd best steer clear of this shit.
