(We know you know this, but we're not doctors. Check with a pro about dosage and actual use.)
DYE FABRIC
•Chop up the vegetable and put it in a large pot with twice as much water as there is veggie; boil for 30 to 40 minutes. Then turn off the heat and let it steep. Boil it again, and strain; apply the dye to clean fabric, Easter eggs, or other surfaces.

PLAY
•Bake five potatoes in their skins until they're ready to eat. Peel and then mash them, combining three cups flour with every four cups of mashed potato until you have a dough-like consistency.
KEEP TIME
•Take two potatoes, two galvanized nails, two short segments of copper wire, three pairs of alligator clips, and a battery-powered LED clock.
Remove the battery, noting where the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals are.
Name the potatoes. (With apologies to Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, we'll use "Chip" and "Julienne.")
Stick a nail in each potato. Also stick a short piece of copper wire into each spud, as far from the nail as you can.
Using alligator clips, connect the copper wire in Chip to the positive terminal of the clock. Connect the nail in Julienne to the negative terminal in the clock.
Now connect the nail in Chip to the copper wire in Julienne, and set the time!
