So if you want an example of how to elegantly incorporate the pan-Asian influences that will infuse our future, try Figa. If you want to have a say in our own water future, talk to your state reps about LD 1077, a bill here in Maine that will allow local citizens a say in large-scale extraction of water. At Figa they know: life without water is a big pain. We should avoid that fate if we can. But Figa's accomplishments make it worth the drought-induced wait, and give us reason to relish our Asian-tinged future.
