Some mad genius at the Collings Foundation has managed to supercollide the brains of Jules Verne and the producers of Top Gear, to judge from the kind of gearheaded sci-fi weirdness that’s going down in Stow this weekend. This year’s “Race of the Century” from the “living history”–obsessed non-profit is an all-out scrum pitting such oddities as steam cars and biplanes against horse-drawn carriages.
