John Dragonetti and Blake Hazard, the husband-and-wife duo who met in Boston on their way to Cali, are the dual force behind the Submarines, who craft gauzy, hook-friendly, persistently sunny indie pop that sometimes sounds as if it had been made to backdrop an iPhone commercial or an indie teen rom-com.
