MORE ABOUT THE ACCURSED
The Accursed are a 5-piece melodic thrash metal act from New Bedford, MA. Formed out of the ashes of metallic hardcore act Again Without Feeling and black metallers, Imperial Darkness, The Accursed have been a finely tuned metal machine devouring all in it's path for three years now. Their 8-song demo, Straight from Hell was recorded at the Styrofoam Room by Oscar Gouveia; better know as main axeman of Beyond the Embrace. The disc features 7 original songs and one blistering cover of Death's immortal classic, The Philosopher. The demo was recorded with original guitarist, Chris Fitzgerald, who later left the band to pursue other things and was replaced by Tim Giblin, who brought his defining touch to The Accursed.
The Accursed remained the tight, technical thrash unit they have always been while blending in their new input from Mr. Giblin to create some of the most unique metal the east coast has to offer. The Accursed inked a deal with New Hampshire’s Screaming Ferret Wreckords in September. Their debut full length entitled ‘Season’s of the Scythe’ will be hitting shelves in January 2005.
