    My prediction? PAIN!

    No, I just like saying that. I don't think Sal D. and Tim Flaherty will actually end up in fisticuffs, although I don't think we'd be all that surprised, would we? Flaherty has been working hard on this rematch, right since the end of the first fight (the special election to replace Anthony Galluccio -- who it seems is hanging around the trail with Sal), but I don't think he can pull it off.

    Marjorie Decker starts with a big name-recognition edge, which might be enough in a quick special-election cycle if she runs a good operation. (Her failure to meet last year's signature deadline, which forced her to run a sticker campaign for re-election, was not a great sign of strong organization.

    --Gotta figure Anthony Galluccio has to resign at this point.

    --My best wishes to Teresa Heinz Kerry, who is battling breast cancer. Can't say that's always brought out the best in politician hubbies, but I suspect John's a good guy in that respect, dontcha think?

    --Also, best wishes to GOP Congressional candidate Bill Hudak (challenging John Tierney in the 6th district), whose home suffered a bad fire this weekend.
