Why Did Caroline Drop Out: Part II -- An Update and Possible Correction

We wrote earlier today, based on earlier press reports, that the reason Caroline Kennedy had withdrawn her name from consideration to succeed Hillary Clinton was believed to be the state of Ted Kennedy's health. We wrote that this didn't make sense and speculated on what the real reason might be.

Now, it's being reported that she had another "personal reason" for withdrawing which had nothing to do with Teddy. If so, this makes more sense, so maybe she still was in the running before she withdrew.
