Instant Analysis of Potomac Primary Results: , It's An Obama Blowout in All Three States -- McCain On Course to Sweep As Well
It's apparently Obama in a complete blowout in all three locales tonight. If this
continues into Wisconsin next week, Ohio and Texas on March 4 may be Clinton's
last chance to make a stand.
Huckabee ran well while losing narrowly in Virginia but mathematically he cannot win the nomination
since there are very few winner-take-all states left. The truth is that
any kind of protest vote against McCain is an easy decision to make for any
Republican so inclined since McCain clearly is going to win the nomination
anyway. Yes, the evangelicals are flexing their muscles in their support of
Huckabee but they will come back on board long before November.
A good night for the fronrunners. And yes, Obama is now the frontrunner.
