TDA: The Democratic Delegate Count is Virtually Tied and the Race Will Go Through the Primaries and Beyond
With the Democratic race virtually tied in terms of delegates, a protracted fight looms that seems certain to go beyond the primaries. Ultimately, the 800 or so superdelegates who are nominally uncommitted -- party faithful and the party establishment, elected and otherwise -- are going to decide the nominee for the other 3200 elected delgates, who will be split roughly 50-50 between Clinton and Obama. They thought voting for or against the Iraq War was a tough vote? Wait until the heat on this one.
