With Thompson Out and Huckabee Scaling Back in Florida, There's An Opening for Romney There

    With news this morning that Mike Huckabee doesn't have enough money to compete actively in Florida, it appears that there's an opening in that state's primary for Mitt Romney to consolidate the conservative vote. If he does that -- in a state where Independent can't vote -- there's an opportunity for him to roll past both McCain and Giuliani and win the state.
    If that happens -- derailing McCain's momentum before Super Tuesday -- the GOP race will be headed to a Romney-McCain contest on Super Tuesday, with Romney, perhaps, having the upper hand.
