Okay - between our Back Talk Q&A and this blog post - we've been a bit David Cross crazy for the past few weeks. Who can blame us? The guy's a genius, and a funny one at that. And it seems we're not the only fans; David's Boston date sold so quickly that the Comedy Connection had to add a second show, and Cross himself decided to tape his new special during both of them.

What's wrong with this picture? Give up? It's of a concert at the Wilbur Theatre (home of Boston's Comedy Connection), and nobody is drinking. They're just sitting there, either bored and sober or catatonic on account of how many painkillers they chewed beforehand to compromise for the lack of liquor license.

At dinner before Jim Norton’s Saturday nightcap at The Comedy Connection’s Wilbur Theatre, I commented: “I want to sit like Lincoln.” For anyone unfamiliar with where the 16th president was assassinated, I meant I wanted balcony seats. No shit – I really said that.

This was a passing hope; I’ve never in my life been blessed with such exalted digs, and I didn’t expect this time to differ.
