So I'm in my corner bodega yesterday discussing the Four Loko phenomenon with the proprietor, who keeps me up on all the local booze trends (remember this?). And while he's telling me about the lame yuppies (his words: "unfriendly guys in suits and ties") who've been buying energy booze by the case since its impending ban was announced, I saw something even more interesting on a back shelf.

It turns out there's now a 30-proof whipped canned product called Cream available in Massachusetts. That's right - Reddi-Whip with booze. In a can. With a free whippet!

My bodega owner tells me that his friend who owns a liquor store nearby sold nearly 20 cases of this stuff (@ $13/can) in 24 hours last week. I suppose word got out. Anyway - you'd better stock up now, because I can't imagine this lasting more than a few weeks. What's the over-under on how long it will take for some kid to get caught with a can of this in school, and for an overzealous legislator to banish it?
