Following up on the Drug Rug video post from earlier today, Phoenix videographer P. Nick Curran also grabbed some footage of opening act Tune-Yards. The brainchild of Oakland-based performer Merrill Garbus, Tune-Yards proves a whole lot of rhythmic goodness can be done with just the calculated aid of a loop pedal, some tactful tribal drumming and the layered harmonies from an incredible voice. People were really feeling this last Wednesday at the MFA.

Drug Rug had a Kings of Leon moment last week mid-way through their set at the Museum of Fine Arts' outdoor courtyard.
“I just realized a bird crapped on my guitar,” quipped Sarah Cronin between songs, sometime around dusk.
