Kieran Fallon resigned today as booking agent at the Middle East’s downstairs room, just three months after replacing longtime talent buyer Kevin Hoskins at the Cambridge rock club.
The shakeup was confirmed by Middle East owner Nabil Sater late Thursday evening.
“I think Kieran wanted to go back to school,” Sater said when reached via telephone.
No doubt in Thursday's Phoenix there will be more ink-stained attention on Friday's Mystery Roar mega-party at the Middle East downstairs, a Dopamine Records' dance-crazed bill that also features Bodega Girls, Soul Clap, Hesta Prynn, DJ Die Young and Baltimoroder, oh my!). But in the meantime, check out the news bulletin created by Videodrome Discotheque VJ/DJ Craig MacNeil
A few weeks ago we told you about "Meet The Press," the latest installment of the Middle East and Pirate Promotion's monthly Rock Shop series, and now the date is here! I'll be sitting on a panel among the finest music writers and editors this city has to offer, trying to pay attention to those insipid-but-important questions while constantly checking my iPhone to see if the Jets' Shonn Greene can lead my beloved Allston Bed Bugzz to Week 1 victory over Luke O'Neil's crappy team in the You Know How It Is fantasy football league, of which David Day also participates.
Luckily, Pirate! Promotion & Management’s Steve Theo is teaming up with the Middle East in Cambridge tonight to dissect all things CMJ in the latest edition of the monthly Rock Shop series.
