The kids in this line have been waiting outside the OFWGKTA pop-up "sweatshop" at Fourth Wall Project -- downstairs from the Phoenix's offices on Brookline Avenue in the Fenway -- since before we got to work this morning. Inside: the motherload of ODD FUTURE merch madness. (Seriously: Earl t-shirts! Miley t-shirts! The whole shit!) The line is now around the block.
A few month before CALEB GROH added some soul to today's Class of 2012 feature in the Phoenix, he met up with us in scenic and beautiful Allston to launch our pop-up video series. The good people at Folk to Folk brought Groh out to Ringer Park for a quick three-song set, and the rising singer-songwriter did not disappoint.
Allston's Ringer Park never felt so pleasant and picturesque as on one late-summer Friday afternoon, when Team Phoenix Pop-Up Vids met up with local songwriter CALEB GROH. The young singer-guitarist stood high on a rock amid some trees, swirling folksy guitar plucks with his twangy Americana-tinged vocal rasp, for three entrancing songs: "Salt Water Gallivanter," "Bathsheba Blues," and "Quick-Tempered Conqueror."
Despite the torrential downpour that occurred yesterday evening from 6-7 PM, our pop-up show/video shoot with Mornin' Old Sport was awesome. We originally planned to gather in the Back Bay Fens, but because of the weather we made a last-minute move, ultimately ending up in some random tunnel on Mass Ave between a GNC and a post office.
