First show of 2013! Woo! After devoting all of last week to the Best of 2012, we looked ahead today on BOSTON ACCENTS to what new sounds we can expect in the early months of 2013, including a few cuts from the Boston Phoenix Winter Preview, a teaser of the upcoming Class of 2013 feature, and a few other new jams we've been feeling here at WFNX.
It's been nearly three years since Cassavettes disbanded, but GLENN YODER has retained his position as one of Boston's finest Americana songwriters, and today he and his WESTERN STATES Winter Preview in the Phoenix, where we wrote:

Despite Mother Nature's best efforts this morning to remind us that yes, Boston, it's still winter, it does seem like our seasonal preview of new music around town hit the strees ages ago. After all, December is so last year.
So with that in mind, let's recap two of the later entries in the Phoenix's winter music preview, relevant to this weekend's goings-onz around town.

We forecasted the upcoming year in Boston rock, from anticipated releases by Passion Pit, Bad Rabbits, Autochrome, Girlfriends, Mellow Bravo, Soccer Mom, and others; dipped into this week’s Winter Preview in the Phoenix with tracks by Stephie Coplan, Darling Pet Munkee, Butterknife and company; and teased the upcoming Class of 2012 with new music from Ghost Box Orchestra and Black Light Dinner Party.
