San Francisco's GRASS WIDOW play tonight at Great Scott with Fat Creeps and Creaturos. Last week, I called singer/bassist Hanna Lew at the apartment she's currently subletting in Brooklyn. We talked about idioglossia versus cryptophasia, why record labels don’t really make sense, owning your Internet presence, and other stuff.
This picture is of GRASS WIDOW playing to some gorillas at the Franklin Park Zoo, where they filmed the video for their track "Milo Minute." The dreamy lo-fi trio will visit Great Scott tomorrow in support of their new LP, Internal Logic (out today; now streaming over at Stereogum). I'm sad I haven't seen them live yet because their records are so dope, and because, you know, monkeys.
