"Howolding Girls" by Birthdays from loroto on Vimeo.
The new video for "Howolding Girls" by Boston's BIRTHDAYS (a/k/a Sammy Yager) is one of the more mesmerizing videos I've seen lately. Over an all-black background, flashes of Yager's prismacolor face paint swirl into neon clouds; mystical dancers express sun salutations before bright orange balls of fire pop and fade.
Quilt's SXSW tour crewOur last stop on tour before Austin was Orlando, where QUILT played Orange You Glad Festival, a four-day fest also featuring Cults, Tennis, Grimes, and others. The festival drew a notable amount of artists on tour en route to SXSW, similarly to the Savannah Stopover Festival that Quilt played a few nights earlier.
Little Spoon (formerly High Sea) is Allston resident Cameron Potter's local dreamy psych-gaze solo project. Potter sent us two new ultra-inspired jams last night, "Slumber" and "Truss," which you can stream right here via Bandcamp:
Potter appropriately recorded both of these high-vibing introspective tracks in his bedroom, layering and looping synth, vocals, and a few drums.
