[free tix] See Frankie Rose tonight @ Brighton Music Hall with Potty Mouth

FRANKIE ROSE plays tonight at Brighton Music Hall in Allston, bringing songs from her 2012 LP for Slumberland Records, Interstellar. We have free tickets to give away.

Rose -- previously a drummer for Vivian Girls, Dum Dum Girls, and Crystal Stilts -- began veering towards a solo career a couple of years ago, with her band Frankie Rose and the Outs. But the record she's currently supporting is her first 100% solo endeavor. It's one of the best pop albums of the year, drawing from her shoegaze and 80s-inspired noise-pop roots, but with more sophisticated songwriting and perfect mid-fi production. Stream a few songs below, and if you want to win a pair of tickets, email with the subject I WANNA GO before 5pm.

If you're planning to catch the show, get there early to catch Northampton garage pop 4-piece POTTY MOUTH, who we featured on our Cellars page last month
