[radio, live transmission] Peter Hook of Joy Division takes over WFNX 9/20 @ 7pm

It’s been a crazy few weeks for Joy Division/New Order bassist PETER HOOK. First New Order decides to reunite without him, the two parties trade barbs in the media/on the Internet, and now Hook hits the States to perform Joy Division’s classic 1980 swan song Closer — the next logical chapter after impressing audiences during last year’s Unknown Pleasures tour.

But before he and the Light take the stage at the Paradise tomorrow, Tuesday Sept. 20, Hooky explains it all when he takes over the WFNX airwaves from 7 to 8pm, joining Paul Driscoll and I for an hour of must-hear radio (101.7 FM, We'll span the classics to the modern in spinning Hacienda Records tracks from Section 25, Humanizer, and Richie G., as well as selections from the Factory Records universe, the enduring Joy Division legacy, recent recordings by the Light, and whatever the hell else Hooky feels like playing.

Afterwards, join us at the 'Dise for the Light's start-to-finish performance of Closer.

This is the way, step inside...
