[bmp video] Freezepop "Special Effects"

Before FREEZEPOP were awarded our office-made gold record for winning Best Album/EP in the 2001 Best Music Poll, they showed Wednesday's award party crowd at Brighton Music Hall exactly why they are one of Boston's true electronic music pioneers. Here they are performing "Special Effects," off the award-winning record Imaginary Friends Wednesday night at the BMP party, courtesy of video shot by Mick Murray.

What's crazy is that at this point in the night, maybe 45 minutes to an hour in, we were actually very ahead of schedule, so props to the 'Pop for plugging in super fast and dropping the sexy synthpop on just a few minutes notice. To quote a colleague who was nearby during Freezepop's performance: "Holy shit, two keytars?!?"

Damn straight.
