SXSW Early Morn: Thee Oh Sees on a Pedestrian Bridge

Thee Oh Sees
Last night I felt a bridge buckle the way the floor does at a small venue show. Around three hundred kids showed up at a pedestrian bridge over a river at 3 A.M. to see Thee Oh Sees try to burn it down. How no one fell into the river below is still a mystery. Like the last time we saw them, the music was indistinguishable from the atmosphere. People just wanted to rage on a bridge and Thee Oh Sees gave them the reason. I got dragged into the middle trying to take photos, thrown into the keyboardist and roped back out by the clasp on my backpack. All sorts of mysterious bruises are starting to speckle my sun burn.
Addison shot video. As he said, “If there weren’t so many kids with dslrs, this might look like an 80s punk video.”
