(CORRECTIONS: note that Neon Indian are plying Fallon, not Letterman,
and that tomorrow night's replacement show is $6, unless you already
bought a ticket, in which case if you show the ticket you can get in
A big boo-hiss for NEON INDIAN, who announced today that they're cancelling their scheduled appearance at GREAT SCOTT tomorrow night -- which was to have been one of the bigger cards for this week's electronic-music festival TOGETHER BOSTON. Instead, tomorrow night they'll be appearing on DAVID LETTERMAN JIMMY FALLON. We're trying to figure out what to call this -- a reverse McCain? The Great Scott gig has been re-scheduled for March 9, and all tickets will be honored at the later date. That said, we highly recommend showing up at Great Scott tomorrow night anyway, since the opening bands -- Portland, Oregon's SOUTHERN BELLE and Boston's own MYSTERY ROAR -- will be playing. Cover charge: zero dollars. Free show! CORRECTION: It's free only to people who have tix to the original Neon Indian show. Everyone else: $6. Cheap! (Bonus: if the timing's right, perhaps you can watch Neon Indian play on Letterman Fallon while you're grabbing a refill at the bar?) Below: Mystery Roar plays the Together Festival national anthem.
