My favorite Jonas Brothers song -- wait, you don't have one? -- is called "One Man Show," and the main reason I like it is because, oddly enough, it kind of sounds like a third-album Hellacopters knockoff. I also interpreted the chorus ("I'm a one-man show/ I don't need no one/ I'll be fine alone") as a rare bit of in-joke introspection: the kind of song their parents would make them sing when one of the Broze was getting too full of himself, just to make 'em see how goofy it sounded. But by the time we saw Team Jonas at the Garden this year, it was clear -- even though they left that particular tune off the set list -- that, alas, it might as well be Nick Jonas's personal theme song. Just ask Miley Cyrus.
We told you back then that Nick was the one being groomed for a solo career. (It certainly wasn't going to be Kevin, who -- as you remember -- made our Unsexiest Men list two years ago.)
And now we learn that the "talented" Jonas breaks up the group launches his solo foray -- as NICK JONAS AND THE ADMINISTRATION -- tomorrow night, when he'll debut the band on CBS's Grammy Awards Nomination Concert.
Nick announced his solo tour schedule yesterday via Twitter, and word just came over the wire that tickets for NJATA's January 12 stop at the Orpheum will go on sale Saturday, December 12 at 10 am. That is, unless you're a card-carrying members of the Jonas Brothers Fan Club, in which case tickets are on sale . . . um . . . now.
