Beastie Boys postpone tour, delay album after MCA is diagnosed with cancer

As the video above indicates, the Beastie Boys are taking a bit of a hiatus while Adam "MCA" Yauch undergoes treatment for a cancerous tumor on one of his salivary glands. According to the band, the tumor is considered treatable as it was caught early and is localized. They also say it will not affect Yauch's vocal chords. All upcoming tour dates have been canceled, and their upcoming album Hot Sauce Committee Part 1 will be pushed back as well. We at the Phoenix wish Yauch a speedy recovery.
