Video and mp3s: The National do some new songs

Kicking Ourselves Dept.: The National played in town this past Saturday, and I totally slept on it. "What's the point?" I thought. "They're not doing anything new or anything like that."

Well, joke's on me, clearly, as they did play two new songs at the House of Blues. Above is video of one songs, "The Runaway," done at Studio Q in Canada. Below, download some high-quality mp3s of that and another new song, "Blood Buzz Ohio," recorded here in Boston. Both songs sound like what you'd expect from the band after Boxer, and, not surprisingly, both are pretty awesome. Also: argh.
