Passion Pit signs to Frenchkiss

The Hold Steady, the Apes, the Fatal Flying Guiloteens, and . . . PASSION PIT? Hellz yeah -- your/our fave upstart Boston band just signed to Frenchkiss, who'll release the band's new EP, Chuck of Change, in September. Hype machine begins in August, when the Pit take on the traditional hipster-converting residency at Piano's. Finally, someone who deserves this shit.

The new EP will be 8 songs, a half-dozen of them new, with a couple (including the one above) tacked on from their demos.
